I'd have OSU last among those finalists

Yeah, USC was good, but it wasn’t the type of upset that the others were because USC wasn’t a great team and Oregon St. was better than people gave them credit for.

That's the reason

why they might get it, OSU was not though of as a competitor. I’d love to see them win the ESPY

It would be sweet....

And publicity of the Rodgers brothers isn’t going to hurt anything. Maybe Quizz could be play a role similar to Oden’s… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c48JtDNRydE

Still though

They were the number one team in the nation. It’s hard to argue with that.

True, but still to invert that logic a little

Team USA just beat the number one team in the world! And Mine that Bird was something like a 50-1 long shot to win. As much as I want more press and respect for my favorite team, it just doesn’t seem to compare (maybe though with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays).

So I’ll agree with the UCLA fan here, it was big time no doubt, but at the same time USC wasn’t quite as good as people made them out to be and OSU was better, plus there was history going for the Beavs with beating SC the last time they came to town (that was a much bigger upset when you think about it) so it wasn’t totally out of left field like Appalachian State beating Michigan the year before.

BUT it is still cool we made it on the list!
