OSU vs. TCU Open Thread
NCAA Fort Worth Regional, Game 4 - 5 PM PT - Gametracker - Webcast
Win today, we're in the drivers seat, lose, it's not the end of the world.
GET 'ER DONE!
Tyler Waldron will get the start on the hill today. He'll be facing a pesky lineup in TCU that can be shut down, but it will all depend on his performance, much like it did last night with Sam Gaviglio and Texas A&M.

Beavers have runners at second and third with two outs...
Jared Norris at the plate, we need something to happen here.

I got tired of them, switched to Parker on the online feed
It’s not synched up, but I’ll take the delay over those TCU guys

Ha Ha
The other announcer just complimented the play-by-play guy because he’s doing so great with the names.
I miss CV3000
Hitters are getting lots of contact against Walderon
just gave up a triple and a run. should be a short outing for him today

Not a good start
Hitting Waldron way too well right now with a double, triple, and HR already, and no hitting going on the Beavs side yet.
-RVM
We need him to work well into this game...
because pitching is so crucial in these regionals. Plus, we used seven guys yesterday. Most of them not for a long time, but we still need to conserve wherever possible.

Yep, totally agree
But getting way too good of contact against him. Singles here and there and SOs = not so much an issue, but the extra base hits with the Beaver offense up against an excellent pitcher is not good.
-RVM
I agree with Jake
That it wouldn’t be end of the world to lose, but it would be oh so much better with a W tonight.
-RVM
But with that said, it's still early.

Good luck Beavers!
I’m watching the Oklahoma vs Arkansas feed and keeping my eye on the score of your game. We play the loser tomorrow afternoon.
7 straight balls for Waldron in the inning

Yep
Seems like they are trying to buy a little time here and get Nygren warmed up. I assume Nygren will be in on the next batter.
-RVM
one run and a double play
not all that bad if we can get that third out with Waldron still in there.
-RVM
Double play... that's an okay trade.

To me
it just feels like if we can get that first hit. He’s not pitching great or horrible right now, but a bit wild at times so if we can get those balls to drop could open it up a bit.
An error on the shortstop works!
-RVM
another double play to end the inning
Need to get the balls out of the infield and start to get some runs. Starting to get to the latter part of this game.
-RVM
I agree
I feel that it was like that last night early, with us just jumping on every opportunity. There were some big hits like Tommasini’s triple that got the OSU offense going. But I agree, if someone gets a big double or something to that effect, it could be good for the overall mojo. This team seems very streaky.

BTW - You have great fans....
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Corvallis this year even though it was an 8-2 loss. Go Beavs!!!
Glad you enjoyed Corvallis.
I’m not sure that any of us will return the favor and travel to Pullman next year….

I usually don't get so critical
But thinking they have kept Waldron in there way too long. His play is starting to drag the team down.
-RVM
yep and then some
score by TCU on a pass ball after a poor play on the steal by the infielders.
Beavs not looking sharp at all right now.
-RVM
I'd say that everything went right yesterday for half of the game.
And there’s still half of the game left for us to work with, offensively. There’s some optimism, for you.

This is pathetic
The guy has walked five and struck out none, but pitching a no hitter through five?
I’m sorry but putting this one all on the Beavers batters.
-RVM
And I would give all the credit in the world if the pitcher was overwhelming us, but just not seeing it. I could be wrong?
-RVM
No, we just haven't gotten the spark that this team needs

runner on second with two outs
no more scores here please
Wouldn’t it be a nice bit of sweet justice if we could somehow pull this out with a 7 to 6 win, after all those losses we had on the wrong side of the score.
-RVM
Didn't see that catch... I just got up to grab some food

Strange overall
But today they have been really off. TCU played a solid game but Beavs almost look tired and way off focus.
-RVM
Nothing is ever easy for us Cougs....
I love the underdog role but I hate losing. lmao I was there last fall for the Coug game in Corvallis and that was painful, but a great time nonetheless.
Nice thing about baseball is there is always tomorrow....
At least today there is, if that makes sense. Go Beavs!!!
Yeah I got you
