Good start.
Although let’s not get ahead of ourselves… one game at a time!
BTW, I haven’t seen any mention here of former OSU & West Linn HS standout Cole Gillespie. He’s back in his home state this weekend as the left fielder for the Nashville Sounds. I was at PGE park Friday night and he looks to be enjoying his return home, he was 2 for 3 with a triple and two walks. On the defensive side he made an awesome diving catch in the 7th to end the inning. It was nice to see him play well since he’s recovering from an elbow injury that’s kept him quiet most of the season.
Hopefully he’ll keep this going so we can have another native Beaver to watch in the Majors!
Go Beavs!!
I read that article and thought about going to a game...
But didn’t make it. Glad you got the chance to see him… I’ve checked up on his stats at a few points this season, and he seems to be making improvement after his surgery.
It could be interesting with Ellsbury, Gillespie, and possibly Barney.
