Baseball Open Thread: vs. Stanford, Game 1

Game 50 - at Stanford - 6:00 p.m. (Live StatsLive Audio)

Here begins what seems like a must-win series for the Beavers if they're interested in keeping post-season aspirations alive... yet it's the same for Stanford, who needs a series win or a sweep to get post-season attention.

We've chatted about this series with Stanford Baseball Information Director Matt Hodson, and my preview of the series went up this morning, so check that out as first pitch approaches.

All your pre-game and in-game comments here. I'm in Pendleton today for a playoff game... so I'll catch you all late tonight or early tomorrow.

I’m a little nervous about this series!

This year I don’t want to again follow the selection show and no Oregon State being mentioned!

Go Beavs!

My new rule for every baseball game

During a rain delay, both teams must have a dance contest.

Check out the video of the Connecticut and South Florida game here:

Great pitching by Gaviglio

I think if we are going to make a run for Omaha, him and Reyes will lead us there.

and Miller's bat!

3 for 4 tonight, not bad (with a opening triple too)

To add on, that was an aggressive at bat for Miller, he looked very comfortable there.

Also though

It would be really nice to have someone else surprise and step up, I know he won’t start but like what Gorton has been bringing this year.
