My "guess"

Is that winning the Stanford series puts us in for sure, for that gives us a winning record series wise (and game wise) in the Pac (5-4 I think?).

I think if we win the UO games and take one of three against Stanford we would still get an invite, but not as comfortable with this scenario as above.

As such I actually think we could actually lose both UO games (as pathetic as that would be) and win the Stanford series and get in. It just seems to me the Pac-10 series is the key here. My HUGE worry is that to milk this inane 2009 “Civil War” resurgence in baseball that scheduling these two UO games right before a crucial Pac-10 series could bite us in the ass. By this I’m thinking we beat Oregon twice and are a bit burned out going on the road to play a decent Stanford team, who has only one game in-between, at home, and should be better rested than the Beavs.

I also think in order for this team to have any momentum to make a run, that most likely will all be on the road, to the CWS is that they need to win four if not five of the next five games and nothing less, even if less got us in.
