Washington Series Recap
The Beavers went 1-2 against the Huskies this weekend, dropping to 29-14 on the season, and 12-9 in Pac-10 play. The Beavers played seven great innings of baseball this weekend, but the last 20 were horrible. The Beavers needed to win this series if they wanted to host a regional come tournament time, but now they only have an outside shot at hosting a Super Regional. Now let's take a look at Game 1.
In the first game of the series the Beavers won, 6-4. The Beavers got things started in the second inning with a run to take a 1-0 lead. The Beavers added to their lead in the fifth inning with a run to make the score, 2-0. Oregon State added four more runs in the sixth inning to take a 6-0 lead. Tanner Robles pitched 6.1 innings for the Beavers and only gave up two hits, but Pat Casey might of pulled him to early. In the 8th inning Washington score four runs to cut the Beaver lead to only two runs going into the ninth inning. However, Kevin Rhoderick came in to get the save and the Beavers escaped Safeco with a two run victory.
The time of game was 3 hours and 30 minutes and the attendance was 4,295. The game was broadcast on Comcast Sports Net in Oregon and Washington. Now let's take a look at Game 2.
In the second game of the series the Beavers got demolished, 15-6. The Huskies got things started in the first inning with six runs including a Grand Slam by Julien Pollard. Washington continued to score runs in the second inning, adding three more to make the score, 9-0. Greg Peavey had his worst outing of the year, going 1.2 innings, giving up seven hits and nine runs. In the third inning the Huskies reached double digits, tacking on one more run to make the score, 10-0. Washington was held scoreless in the fourth inning but scored another run in the fifth to make the score 11-0. The Beavers finally got on the board in the sixth inning, getting three runs to make the score, 11-3. Washington answered in the bottom of the sixth, scoring another run to make the score, 12-3. Oregon State got three more runs in the seventh inning to make the score 12-6, but Washington would answer in the bottom half of the inning with another run to make the score, 13-6. Washington scored the final runs of the game in the 8th inning, adding two more runs to make the score, 15-6.

Oregon State tied the game up in the third inning with a run to make the score, 1-1. In the fifth inning Oregon State scored another run, but Washington answered with two runs of their own to take the lead, 3-2. That was one frustrating series...no more to say
But to answer your poll above:
Regional = nope, only thought we did if the incredibly long-shot thing happened and the Beavs won the Pac and no chance of that now.
Super = Sure I think (?). If things work out with who advances I think we might still have a shot at this like 2007, but will need to get through the Regional on the road. Meaning they need to find the pitching and offense at the same time and no more of this one shows up one game and the other the next game (oh, thought I wasn’t going to say anymore…anyway…).

It seems like Super Regional hosting has a lot more to do with your opponent coming out of the opposite Super Regional. I mean, we got pretty dang lucky that we got to host Michigan two years ago… their stadium was being rebuilt. They were the higher seed and would of had the home field, but because of the renovation, the games were played in Corvallis. And the Beavs won by a hair… or just a weak throw by that left fielder. Either way you want to look at it.

or a perfect hit by Wong!
Actually that was a tough hit to come up gunning on for Joey just hit it hard enough out of the infield but not hard enough for the outfielder to get it in time to come up with a strong and quick throw.
