I’ve heard a lot of upside on Lalich, even though he had some troubles in Virginia. There were a number of beaver fans I spoke with saying that they were really excited to get this transfer and that he had the opportunity for playing time very soon.

Meh… I dunno. Katz is the one I’ve been waiting to see. If Lalich pans out, cool. He adds experience at the position which is good, ’cause I believe we lose Lyle and Sean at the same time…

Yeah, he graduated early to make it up for that spring, a la Canfield. He probably looked a lot like a kid—17 y/o kids don’t stack up at any PAC 10 school… well, except maybe north of the Oregon border…
I expect him to look better this year. He has filled out a lot and looks physically ready but again, need to show it on the field and I’ll be convinced. I still like him as our guy.
The guy you need to watch out for is Cody Vaz
From inside sources, Katz has all the physical tools, but doesn’t quite have the um, well, “mental” side to being a quarterback just yet
I support Takimoto in his effort to support Roger Kieschnick in his quest to becoming the best Kieschnick ever to play professional baseball.
What's the inside source on that?!
I dunno about that, I haven’t heard that anywhere. He apparently tore it up last year, running a new team’s offense every week on scout team… Vaz is still an unknown to me. I know he’s supposed to be a tough, athletic type but I still want to see Katz get a crack. He’s just a flat out athlete and apparently has a mid-range game like a mothereffer.
"The brownies,'' Fernandez said after the game. "The brownies are good for me to make three-points.''
