When college meets pros: What do we as fans do??

So there as been some discussion on AtQ about being a Blazer fan and being a Duck fan: Do you root for Aaron Brooks? This is something that many fans of colleges don't have to deal with. But what do we as fans do when a guy we used to love becomes our pro team's biggest enemy? I love the Blazers a lot, but I love the Beavs more. But even still, I find myself rooting against Brent Barry. I found myself rooting against Gary Payton when he was a Sonic. And I'll find myself rooting against the Seahawks, even though there is potential for three Beavs to be on the team this year. So I ask you, SBNation, what do you do when your favorite college athletes clash with your favorite pro teams?

In the case of my Blazers, I always wanted GP and Barry to have great but SAFE games against us—meaning they’d have a strong showing, maybe even dominant, but it wouldn’t matter because we’d blow ’em out or maintain a 7+ point lead all game long.

I still want them to do well. Anyone not named CJ Giles who put on the orange and black is someone I’ll root for… but I want the Blazers to ALWAYS walk away with the W.

Same goes in other pro sports to a much lesser degree, but the Blazers are the only pro sports team I’m truly passionate about.

Doesn't matter at all

I’d like to see them do well when we aren’t playing them, but I don’t want Brent Barry to eliminate the Blazers.

Exactly...

But if someone has to be that guy who sinks my Blazers, it would like a very light sugar coating on a VERY bitter pill if it happened to be a Beav.

Actually, it would still suck. Kind of like my Grandpa beating up my Dad or something… depressing.
