Heck of a game so far

Wish I could watch this one, both teams playing well and back and forth!

We need to step up the defense a notch in the second half.

Beavers Score 36 points in first half

That is quite a few points. Too bad we are behind.

by leon0112 on Mar 23, 2009 7:43 PM PDT reply actions

just two points

All up to the half time adjustment and who does the better defensive one.

Baseball update

8-4 with ten hits, offense on again and this time nothing all that spectacular.

Reyes went 7 innings and had 11 strike outs. Had a tough inning but got out of it okay and gave up a single HR, overall a strong performance.

oh, and it is now top of the 9th

three Hawai’i outs and Beavs go 5-0 on their first home stand, not too bad!

Beavs win

Excellent home stand! I’m impressed, didn’t think they could pull out five wins. They looked very much on a mission these last games. I’m pumped for conference play to start.

This game is hard to listen to...

I wish I could watch it, but the justin.tv feed I was watching switched to Davidson/SMU in the NIT

15 wins

and still going. If the Beavers win the tournament, they get back to .500.

by leon0112 on Mar 23, 2009 9:57 PM PDT reply actions

Over...

The championship round is best of 3. Well, assuming we sweep… if we drop one, we’d be right at .500.

by sangdorange on Mar 24, 2009 10:00 AM PDT up reply actions

best of three, yikes

Would it have been wild or what if OSU and Stanford ended up playing in the final instead of only this Wednesday’s semifinal game? That could have meant the two meeting for maybe six times this year! Four is already wild enough!

Best of three... how strange.

The CBI is a fun diversion right now. Obviously a consolation tournament but still, it’s interesting and I’ve enjoyed LISTENING to the games. I’d enjoy it even more if the games were on a REAL network.

by ArbyOSU on Mar 24, 2009 2:03 PM PDT up reply actions

Yeah...

Too bad the games are only available to those with Dish or DirectTV. However, I heard their broadcast was better than FSN usually does, and almost equal to ESPN! Glad to know they’re doing a good job!

by sangdorange on Mar 24, 2009 3:03 PM PDT up reply actions

… too bad only a few thousand are actually watching. What an obscure network.

It’s no NCAA… or NIT for that matter. But it’s post season which means more basketball which means I’m happy. They’re doing well and building for next year. The CBI is OK with me. Next year I want NIT or NCAA though.

by ArbyOSU on Mar 24, 2009 3:19 PM PDT up reply actions

I think a reasonable goal

would be the NIT next year. The year after that I’m expecting the NCAA’s with all of our great recruits being Sophomores.
