Humorous Recruiting "Star" System

Ok, so we all know how funny the star system is. And how sometimes, it can be a little misleading. Well, I was just bored and farting around on BeaverBlitz and was looking at the "offers" page from 2005 to now on who we offered, just to see any names I recognized or what not. Basically, long story short, I ended up on Oregon's offered page for basketball and it took me the year 2006, where I found this hilarious bit of info.

They offered a scholarship to two small forwards, both from Pascagoula, Mississippi. One of them was 6'6", 200 pounds, he was listed as a 3 star. The other was 6'5", 190 pounds, and listed as a two star. Who are those two kids you are probably wondering?

Well the 3-star kid is none other then Lakendric Longmier

The 2-star kid is LeKendric Longmire

Subsequently, both committed to Oregon. Odd, huh?

Just goes to show you how dumb the star system actually is. Based on a different spelling of his name, an inch, and 10 pounds less, he is a full star less then, well, himself.

Enjoy :-D

I think the two-star kid has more potential for growth and improvement. I mean, CLEARLY.

Clearly LeKindric was the more underrated player.

It's spelled "S-H-U-G-S-D-E-A-D-H-Y-D-R-O-S"
