National Signing Day: Open Thread

It's "the most exciting day of the Winter" for the football staff, as National Letters of Intent will start flowing into the Valley Center today, forming this years recruiting class. Yesterday evening I outlined the players who should be inking their commitment to Oregon State today, if you're interested.

I'll be unable to update this post periodically throughout the day, so if you're intersted in the latest on the recruiting front, check out:

Feel free to state your excitement over this year's recruits in the comment thread below. Remember, I'll be attending tonight's Recruiting Dinner at the Portland Hilton, so check back tonight around 10 or 11 if you're interested in a brief recap. I'm sure I won't be able to tell you everything in one sitting, so check back over the next few days for more recruiting information.

GO BEAVERS!

Only big defect so far was Corey Smith, DB, who said he wasn’t going to sign anymore… For those who don’t know, he is the JUCO kid who has flip flopped about 3 or 4 times now on what school he was going to. He was committed to Nevada, visited us, committed to us, went back to Nevada, came back to us, now I’m not sure. But best of luck to him

Boooring...

I’m waiting for a scandalous decommit-recommit event to pop off. So far everything is going to plan, which is nice, sure, but come on. A little excitement please?

I decommitted from my own powder puff team today. I’m holding off on my announcement of which team I’m going to join, but I’ll listen to what Coach Riley and gang says.

If it’s “(lawyers) no!”, I’ll probably head to Montana State, but if it is “Hell no!”, I’ll look into maybe Washington State.

BtD would like to congratulate you and your family on your decision.

I’ve decommitted from actually getting any work done today… made that call about an hour ago…

Riley won’t answer my phone.

I think I’m decommitted from life. Yikes!

BRILLIANT! You aren’t a coach there, are you? Because you made a great pitch!

Let me tell you a little about Bozeman and what we have to offer here.

First off, do you like off roading or hunting, JShufelt?

You mean off roading and hunting are two separate things?
