Oregon State Women Bury Ducks, Get Season Sweep

[UPDATED, with game story] Leading 62-40 with just under three minutes left, Oregon State head coach LaVonda Wagner wasn't happy yet.

The Lady Beavers, who defeated Oregon 61-42 in the teams' first meeting on January 31, poured on an additional eight points in the final three minutes on their way to a 29 point victory Saturday night at Gill Coliseum. The final score was 70-41, in favor of the Beavers.

Leading by just three points with fifteen minutes remaining in the half, the Beavers put their feet to the accelerator, ending the game on a 30-4 run.

A thirty to four run in the final fifteen minutes of the game!

The game saw five lead changes in the first half, and the Beavers led by just two at halftime. But it was all orange and black in the second half. Senior guard Britney Davis scored a team-high 21 points, and Talisa Rhea added 18.

The Beavers shot 51 percent from the field in the game.
