I'm thinking there is some baseball tomorrow (today)!
Yep, I'm excited for baseball is on the top of my list of favorite OSU sports.
So, thought I would post some links of interest.
Baseball Opens 2009 Season Friday At Tennessee
Kevin Rhoderick Selected To Stopper Of The Year Watch List
Beavers hoping to return to championship form
Opening weekend filled with good series (second one down)
Looks as if it is only BSN radio and online Gametracker coverage, but first pitch is at 1:00 so I'll have to watch "quietly" at work anyway.
And I know last year was a bit frustrating, okay VERY frustrating, but to hopefully get us in the mood here are some shots from a highlight game last year and the Sunday game from the UCLA series. The game that Ortiz hit the grand slam HR in the 8th in which the Beavs won 8-7 to take the series 2 games to 1.
(The pics aren't the best, tough angle from that side, but just after getting some baseball spirit going here! I'll try and get some better ones this year!)

i've been gone for a few years
I love the new scoreboard! i remember the old one, it looked like a crappy high school scoreboard. this one kind of reminds me of the old football scoreboard.

I was at that game...
…in the right-field bleachers. I remember having to turn around to watch that Ortiz Grand Salami (get out the rye bread and the mustard, Grandma!) go sailing out into the parking lot.
I think I have some photos from that game… will have to look to see if any are good. Probably not, though. Too far away! Gotta get myself a better SLR lens.

I couldn't actually see it go over from the left-field bleachers
We had the kids so the enclosed area was nice, but dang it was chilly with the wind coming into that section and no real sun since we were under the cover. And funky looking through the fence too, but again the kids could run a bit with the other kids there so that was cool. I want to go to more games to change it up. Right-field bleachers do give you a pretty good overall view, but not as relaxed with the kids!
Super region games against Michigan I was down the third base side and those were great seats.

Ugh
I was listening to that game and when that ball went out I thought our (UCLA’s) regional hopes were dead.

sorry, well not really
Yep, and your right fielder had Ortiz oh so close to out on the diving attempt at his foul ball!
Pac-10 ball should be fun again this year, could go a lot of different ways and expecting UCLA to be in the mix again.

It's going to be a really fun year
There are so many questions that there are a lot of conceivable outcomes. I don’t think anyone really has an idea what to expect out of the top 6.
