So let me just get down to business (I have an afternoon appointment that I can't miss) and make this quick.
- First off, Quizz is the front page of the CFB section of ESPN. Looks like he's the poster boy for the pre-Christmas bowls. Enjoy it until they change it to a picture of Tim Tebow.

- Nick Daschel at Buster Sports has picked his way-too-early PAC 10 Champ for 2010. Spoiler alert: It's the Beavs.
- Don't know if you saw it already, but Daschel also put up a season report card for the PAC 10. Worth a look.
- Bruce Feldman of ESPN is also going Doc Brown on us, looking into next year's Heisman prospects. Our favorite running back from Lamar Consolidated down in Texas (hint, it's JACQUIZZ RODGERS) gets top future-honors in Feldman's book.

- Here's a local, Chicagoland take on tonight's match up with U of I-Chicago. They're the Flames, by the way. And oh yeah, they're 1-6 too.
- Nice piece from the GT on hoops recruiting.
- Cool write up on Kyle DeVan's jump from middle school teacher to starter on Peyton Manning's offensive line. No, seriously.
- CFN's All-PAC 10 team and Top 30 Players list. Naturally, the top three players are 1. Toby Gerhart, 2. Jacquizz Rodgers and 3. James Rodgers.

PTI's second topic for debate today was Oregon State's 2010 schedule.

Offense has gone into the dumps of late, reminds me too much of last year and the wild swings the team had in scoring. Need to step it up big time before conference play, or they aren’t going to any post season.

Pretty ugly half for the Beavs
Started out shooting the ball horribly, then got really hot, and then got really cold again. Our defense is looking good though, and is causing the Flames some trouble. If we can find our stroke in the 2nd Half we should have no problem winning this game. If we don’t though, we will be very depressed later tonight.

ehh it's all about consistency
they’ve shown flashes of brilliance and then they inexplicably start to struggle (both in this game and in every other game so far this year). We still got a couple games to get it together before Pac-10 play starts.

I have not seen any flashes of brilliance this year yet. Some good play, but nothing special. And to now lose that game they should have put away…sigh, not happy.

still don't know about great
They looked good (what I have seen of them in those games, and didn’t see/hear the G. Washington game) for sure and looked very good against CSU Bakersfield. But great? Nah, haven’t seen great yet. Great wins games by double digits. Not losing or winning by five.
Sorry, I want to be excited but this loss tonight has been a downward spiral capper for me of late. I think they have loads of talent (especially young talent) but it is getting closer to conference play and are not clicking at all yet.

Another thing is that with Robinson teams so far they just can’t seem to put away teams. They had it going and could have pulled away for a fairly easy W half way through the second half, but they just can’t do it. Last year I was okay with it because they also played with a ton of heart and came back in games and also were such an improvement over the previous year, but this year against very sub-.500 teams is not working at all for me.

That was a bad loss
Seems like they still have a long ways to go and a short time to get there.
Very unimpressed and disappointed so far this year. Seemed like they had some stuff going there a few games ago, but nothing of late.

I'm so fucking pissed right now
How the fuck do you lose to fucking Illinois-Chicago? They just lossed six in a row and they beat a Pac-10 team. This erases any shot of us getting into the NCAA’s. God, we’re not even able to get the ball in-bounded in the final 25 seconds. We have got a TON of work to do if we are going to finish in the top half of the Pac-10 this year. And the Pac-10 sucks this year.

I agree with all your comments too. I mean, look at all of our talent. It’s all wasted right now. I’m the biggest CR fan there is, but he is going to catch a lot of heat if he doesn’t get this thing going quickly.

Again see my comment about putting teams away above. I’m okay with slow chipping away at teams and winning (or even losing close games) IF they are like Cal or Stanford or Oregon, but you also have to take it to teams that you should be beating by 20 or more points.
