Not quite a done deal, but Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune is reporting that OSU will open the 2010 football season with a game against the Texas Christian Horned Frogs at Cowboy Stadium, in Arlington, TX. No mention in the article of a return trip; though the game comes with a $500,000 payout.
It's being spun as a way to let the Rogers boys play a college game in their home state.
Also in the same article, Bob DeCarolis reportedly has some interest in the AD job at Michigan, where is daughter is a student.
Man. @TCU, @Boise, Louisville, and @Hawaii--that's one nasty little non-conference schedule.
Poll
OSU vs TCU--do you like?
Yes--to be the best you gotta beat the best. Give me top-10 teams over Portland State any day. (24 votes)
I would prefer a return visit (8 votes)
Meh--I'd rather have an easier opener, but the 500 grand ain't bad. (4 votes)
Are they crazy? Two top-ten teams on the road with a new QB? Might as well plan to visit the in-laws this Christmas, we ain't going bowling. (8 votes)
