The Riley name is synonymous with coaching success in Corvallis. Mike, the son of former Beaver Assistant coach Bud Riley decided to go elsewhere for college. He was lucky enough to play under one of the best college coaches in the history of the sport, Paul "Bear" Bryant. Obviously, some of the Bear's winning ways rubbed off on Riley.
