Canfield in the nfl
Hey Beavs fans, I'm a college and pro football enthusiast and I'm wondering what you guys think of Sean Canfield and his chances of getting drafted in the upcoming NFL draft. I personally believe that he will definitely get drafted and could possibly be a middle round pick (3-5). Just comparing his stats , especially that startling completion percentage, to his predecessors who were drafted, Derek Anderson and Matt Moore who both got drafted anyone would come to the logical conclusion that he would get drafted because his numbers are better. But I haven't seen too much of him and I wonder if his stats are enhanced by the fact that he has some really good playmakers around him who can get a lot of yac. Just looking at him physically he has good size and a good arm ( obviously accurate ), has good, quick footwork which enables him to throw well on the run. But does he have an accurate enough arm to throw 15-20 yards down field to streaking NFL receiver? Well I'll leave you guys to discuss his possiblities at a pro career.

definitely
He makes NFL quality throws such as precise throws on outs to the far side of the field, spots where only his receiver can make the play, and he gets the playmakers the ball. James Rodgers leads the Pac 10 in receptions because Sean gets him the ball. Quizz is a threat on every play because Sean gets him the ball. Dam Adeniji, Halahuni, Jordan Bishop are all threats to defenses because Sean knows how to get them the ball. In the Cinci game and many other games I have become convinced that Sean will succeed in the NFL because of the throws he is able to make and how smart he has become with the ball. He can also learn. He didn’t blame the inexperienced O-line for sacks at the beginning of the year even though he could. He learned to make quicker decisions and get rid of the ball which will be huge at the next level.
canfield
I think he has a better shot at success than either Derek or Matt. Physically he is a prototype, and he has learned (mostly) not to trust his arm so much that he puts the
ball in really dangerous spots.
You have to be impressed with this guy. When everybody was looking for Lyle, he didn’t blame anyone and just continued to get better. Like most qb’s, his success could depend on the team he gets drafted by. Anderson has no chance in Cleveland either to succeed or even get better because those around him just absolutely suck. I hope Canfield gets a good shot at it.
Agree about Cleveland...
I feel bad for DA. I think if you put him on a different team, he’d be having a lot more success.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to have him throwing for the Seahawks?

Bah
C’mon… DA throwing to Housh, Hass and Newton (assuming they ever get promoted off the practice squad) and others? That would be awesome! Seattle trades Jordan Kent and Nick Reed to Tampa Bay for Sammie… hehehe
Doh!
How could I forget Sabby? Guess I was just thinking about receivers, not safeties.
