Today's Poll, NIT Final Four or NCAA 1st Round

Here's something to think about before the Beavers and Trojans kick it off tonight. What would you rather see this season? The Beavers going all the way to the NIT Final Four, or being eliminated in the 1st Round of the NCAA Tournament?

My thoughts after the jump

Star-divide

This is an incredibly tough choice. On one hand, it would be awesome to be a part of the NCAA's. You know, Selection Sunday, filling out your bracket and seeing the Beavers on there, CBS, and of course, all the Madness of March. It would also be the Beavers first NCAA Tourney since 1990.

On the other hand though, the thought of winning three games at Gill Coliseum, and then going to New York for the Final Four sounds awesome as well.

In the end, I think winning three, four, or five games in the NIT beats getting eliminated in the First Round. The great thing is, is that we are even talking about postseason play. It should be a fun year and we'll see where the chips fall.

Vote in the poll below, and then defend your decision in the comments section.

I agree about a tough choice

I went back and forth on this one. At first it was like hell yes final four NIT would be the best for that means another step up for the program, more games, more exposure I think for Beaver Nation to the team, etc. And just seems more realistic.

But then it was like okay but first round NCAA means that the team did better in the regular season and that will end up meaning much more over the long-term.

Then it was okay, but again NIT final four means a possible championship and how cool would that be, it would really highlight how this program is improving instead of a possible one time deal, you know got a little lucky to get in to the NCAA and then one time and out.

But in the end picked the NCAA for I think that would mean the team has arrived on the scene much more than the NIT, and plus if we are good enough to get into the NCAA I’m not so sure it would end after one game.

All projecting way out of course, but it is kind-of wild to even be thinking about these possibilities at any level after those bleak years before Coach Craig was on board.

I’ll be happy with either, hell I would be okay even with a one and out in the NITs, for that would mean improvement is still happening. But I also hope the team this year doesn’t get too ahead of itself, the program still has a long way to go.

Totally agree

That we have a long way to go, but I think these are reasonable expectations. Especially since the players have been saying that it’s NCAA’s or Bust.

Hi, my name is Connor. Except over on ATQ where I am known as, "JConnor."

yeah i gotta believe that I'd rather have the team get to the NCAA Tourney
