check out our friends @ cougcenter.com for a very well thought out, rational take. from someone that doesn’t have a dog in the fight (apologies Mr. Vick)

Life is about growth. People are not perfect when they're 21 years old. - Bill Walton

The only folks with “dogs in the fight” would be BSU and UO fans if I’m not mistaken.

From the outside looking in I don’t like it. It takes emphasis off of how serious the meltdown was and it also makes it seem as though Blount is incapable of getting a degree, getting a job and being a normal person. People act as though if he doesn’t have football he won’t have a way to provide for himself. He still has the free degree, which I think is an extremely generous offer from the university as is. They’re literally doing everything they can do to make sure he has a chance to succeed with a degree from a good school. Football is not his right. Heck, the free school isn’t either… anyway… Reinstating his playing status? I just don’t get it.
