Pac-10 TV Schedule, Week 7

With the Oregon St. Beavers, Oregon Ducks, and Washington St. Cougars all with bye weeks, there are only four games this week. All will get some variation of national coverage.

Lots of Oregon televisions will be tuned to NBC at 12:30 Saturday, when the USC Trojans visit the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, what with the Beavers visiting the Trojans next week, and USC coming to Eugene a week later.

Also at 12:30, the Cal Golden Bears visit the Rose Bowl to take on the UCLA Bruins, as both teams try to rebound after disappointing losses. The game will be the ABC regional game (after the Oklahoma-Texas Red River Rivalry, the ABC national 9:00 AM game concludes), and will also be available on the premium ESPN360 plan in areas that don't get this as their regional game.

At 4:30, the Stanford Cardinal visit the Arizona Wildcats, and Versus will carry the game coast to coast on providers that carry the Versus channel. Versus, owned by Comcast, is not available on some cable systems, and is not carried by DirecTV satellite. Versus is also a premium channel on some systems.

The weekend concludes with the Washington Huskies visiting the Arizona St. Wildcats at 7:15. The game will be carried nationally by the network of regional Fox Sports channels.

I think you mean, with USC coming to Eugene

I support Takimoto in his effort to support Roger Kieschnick in his quest to becoming the best Kieschnick ever to play professional baseball.

Fixed.

Thanks for catching that. Was already thinking about Cincy and USF tonight.

Tony Pike is looking good again, and has the Bearcats out to a 17-7 lead midway thru the game.

Pike suffered a sprained left, non-throwing wrist

just before halftime, but x-rays were negative, and Pike returned for the second half.

And found Mardy Gilyard for a first down reception on his first play.

Pike gave way for the time being,

to Zach Collaros, who won a couple of Texas state titles, and ran for a 75 yard TD. Bearcats up 24-10.

Collaros scored another TD,

and led another 4th. qtr. scoring drive, and the Bearcats remain undefeated, after winning 34-17 over the previously undefeated Bulls.

Pike’s condition is uncertain, but there is high concern for the rest of his season.

Pike out for the Louisville game

HIs status after that is to be determined. A plate inserted into his wrist after a previous injury has shifted. More info at http://www.sbnation.com/2009/10/15/1087023/south-florida-leads-cincinnati

Trojans hold off ND 34-27

A 20 point second half lead almost gets away, which gives OSU & the UofO ample hope. Clearly the Trojans are a load, but not an insurmountable one.

Once again, though, Big East replay and some absolutely bizarre on-field calls keep the ratings for the NBC/ND network high.

How can review put one second back on the clock when one of the replays showed the clock at 0.0 before the pass was even released on the prior play, never mind batted down? Answer: More TVs in the Big East area than on the west coast.
