Around SBN: Two Minutes Of Thunder Basketball Wins The Game

Pac-10 TV Schedule, Week 5

Four conference games are on this week's schedule, plus one non-conference game, and it is the only full national coverage game.

The Washington Huskies visit the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 12:30 Saturday, and being a Notre Dame home game, it will be televised nationally by NBC.

The Oregon State Beavers visit the Arizona State Sun Devils at 4:00, in a game carried nationally by Versus, a Comcast channel. Versus is not available on DirectTV, and some cable systems, and is an extra premium channel on others.

The LA area-Bay area double header starts at 12:30, when the UCLA Bruins visit the Stanford Cardinal, and continues at 5:00 when the USC Trojans visit the California Golden Bears. Both games are ABC regional games, and are also available on the ESPN 360 premium package in markets in areas of the country that will not the the games on ABC.

At 6:15, the Washington State Cougars visit Eugene to take on the Oregon Ducks. The game is only available on the Comcast Sports Network channel.

The Arizona Wildcats have a bye this week.

Here's to carnage

Since nobody has commented yet, I will simply say that my lifelong loathing of the Fuskies is in the last few years almost equally matched by enmity towards the perpetually overrated Irish. All I wish for that game is that the aftermath look the Antietam battlefield.

uh

or, look “like” the battlefield if you prefer. :[

I’ve been busy so been quietly just not around much here!

Plus I’m just not sure what to say about the upcoming game. Going to be a difficult one, but can the team finally start clicking? Could be a great game for the Beavs (a win for the first time in years and years there), could be a great game but disappointing (as in a hard fought and close game but a loss), could be just not good (not a close loss). I really have no idea right now with this team.

Your thoughts?

This guy won't shut up

At the risk of seeming like the only other guy in the waiting room, the thing that comes to mind is that I’d like the Beavs to play a little nasty. Maybe it’s indicative of the kind of senior leadership we have this year, but a little fire like somebody’s sister’s reputation was just impugned would be nice to see. I am by no means advocating a return to the cheap shot stuff seen during Erickson’s tenure, but I wouldn’t mind a little piss-offedness.

Not smack-talking, though. Just smacking.

"Not smack-talking, though. Just smacking."

You talking about what you are doing to me, or what the team should be doing on the field!

Seriously though I agree with the point about the fire, not sure I’m after total nastiness or anything, but get out there and jaw with the other teams like Sammie did last year. Quizz and James do a bit of this, but I want to see that from the rest of the team too. Start playing like the season is on the line, oh wait a minute…

Sigh, what are we waiting for anyway?

I was super busy during the week

And now I’m down at the beach where internet access is limited. Things should return to normal soon though.

Hi, my name is Connor. Except over on ATQ where I am known as, "JConnor."

Well, except for the beach deal!

I hope everyone's

not left speachless, if not surprised, by Friday’s news conference.

I don’t think it makes UO look very good from a PR standpoint.

Is it bad...

That I would give almost anything (except a beaver victory) to see the Cougars beat the Ducks. Wouldn’t that just be SPECIAL! A guy can dream can’t he.

I routinely root against the Ducks in all games.

And I seriously doubt that we are alone on this website.

Always root against the Ducks

Yes, I don’t believe in any “State of Oregon” brotherhood. I hate Duck football and almost get as much pleasure from a Duck loss as a Beaver win. My other favorite college teams are the Utah Utes and Cincinnati Bearcats based on places I’ve spent a significant time, so it’s been a little tough the past couple of years, but I always root for the Beavers first.

Look at it this way

We all know that there is probably no way that will happen so what’s the harm for giving WSU some good vibes and our support. Everyone loves an underdog no? Heck, I’ve gone through worse rationalizations than this!
