Can the Beavers Sweep... the Ducks?

Actually this post has very little to do with the Ducks, but I thought since the BTD blog seems to be letting down the ATQ people in our "obsession" about the UO I would bait the waters a bit.  :) You know why in the world a fan of a team want to have our coaches on national TV given the proper recognition? Oh yes I know the peace and love Duck fans are all about forgiveness for the national media (you all did some good research about Princeton's team colors, which was actually pretty good, you must have some School of Journalism people writing for you all over there!), but it is so hard for us land granters to live up to that Gandhi liberal arts like thinking you know.   All in good fun everyone!  Have to talk it up a little bit with the first CW game fast approaching.

ANYWAY
, I actually wanted to post some thoughts about the OSU basketball season and get people's thoughts about the next part of the season.

That was one impressive road sweep of two pretty good teams, and I read it was the first Pac-10 road sweep for the Beavs in six years.  I have a feeling that we are going to see a lot of these "that's the first time in so many years" things happening in the next couple years for Beaver basketball.  For me personally I thought some nice things were going to happen this year, how could they not compared to last year?  But have to admit that this is exceeding my expectations.  Yes, yes, I know that there is a good ole feeling with Coach being the brother in-law of a pretty exciting new President, but it has taken me a bit aback in the way the team played this weekend.  They were projecting a strong sense of confidence and looking like a very well coached team that could (IMO) play (maybe not beat but compete for sure) with any Pac-10 team right now.

I guess what I'm getting at here is a bit of the beavsfan10 excitement for Beaver sports and in this specific case basketball.  All in all I have to be honest and when basketball started up I was all about "man, I'm excited for baseball this year!"  But now I'm very excited to see what this basketball team can bring to each game.

So what are your thoughts so far?   Are you feeling any of the same things?  Or am I'm jumping on the magic bus way too early?
