Notes from the sideline

  • What an amazing game, it is hard to put into words.  This win and TV exposure will do wonders for the football program.
  • Erin Andrews is just as beautiful in person as she is on TV.  She is skinny as a stick and was wearing some skin-tight jeans.  I was very jealous of the ESPN guys that followed her around with all the broadcasting equipment.
  • Erin Andrews had just as much police protection (or even more) than Riley or Carroll.
  • That was the loudest I have ever heard Reser.  You could hardly hear anything! Piped in crowd music can not come close to that.
  • As Quizz would say, he is a "small dude."  From the sideline it was hard to see him behind all those offensive linemen until he came bursting through the line.
  • If I were to describe Quizz in one word it would be 'slippery.'  I don't think any one DB tackled him by themself.  He moves his feet so quick that it is impossible to grab them.  And the best part, we have a full 3 more years of him!!!
  • LaMarcus Aldridge, the starting PF for the Portland Trail Blazers, was on the OSU sideline and cheering for the Beavs.  He was rocking some major bling too, a big gold chain and a ridiculously huge gold watch.
  • Jeff Van Orsow and Mike Hass were supporting the Beavs too.  Jeff is a super nice guy and I wish him all the best in his non-football career.
  • Mike Hass was talking a lot of trash to the USC fans and players as they left the stadium at halftime. Pretty funny, i wouldn't expect that from him.
  • Sammie was visibly grimacing as he jogged into the stadium at halftime and it was clear he wouldn't be able to effectively play.  Good to hear that it isn't a major injury.
  • Speaking of injuries, OSU really beat up USC.  We really took it to them and dealt some major blows to thre defense.
  • Our punter, Ronald Weasley (j/k), must have made some good karma this week because he had some really awful punts that took some awesome bounces.
  • Lyle Moevao looked under control the whole game and was not rushing his passes or trying to do too much.  This is exactly what we needed from him.
  • The fly sweep has not been very productive this year because it seems as if everyone has scouted and learned how to defend it.  It is good to see James Rodgers becoming a better reciever though.
  • Got to give our cornerbacks some major props, they really brought their A game.  Besides a couple incredible plays by the USC WRs, they did their job effectively.
  • The orange jerseys had just come in the night before the game and they were a nice compliment to the Orange Out.
  • Jake's prediction of OSU being the third best team in the PAC 10 doesn't seem like such a ridiculous claim now does it?
