Who has plans for watching/attending the game tonight?

I'll probably be watching!

I’m excited!

Go Beavers! cough

Go Duckies!

I'll be watching the game in Eugene...

Does anyone here know of a good bar to watch Beaver games here in this sea of green and neon yellow? My only stipulation is that they have nice TVs and they play the sound of the game, not the jukebox. Let me know if you guys have any places in mind! Thanks, GO BEAVS!

Mother of God

I’m rather excited.

Drinking heavily with friends. Be prepared for some drunken ramblings this evening.

The drinking starts in T-Minus

3 hours. A whole lot of my friends are down in Palo Alto for the game, so the Beavs will be well represented with students. Can’t believe its here. GO BEAVS!

Anyone got plans to watch the game at any of the fine establishments in corvallis.

So excited!

My prediction is 24-13 Beavers. Sammie, J. Rodgers, and McCants each score a touchdown w/Kahut adding a field goal.

Watch party?

Are there any bars in the wilsonville/beaver/portland area that hosts a good beaver football watch party?

by Nickker22 on Aug 28, 2008 12:30 PM PDT reply actions

did some searches and found Captain Ron’s Sports pub in sherwood. It’s pretty close to me (i live in wilsonville).. anybody else been there? as long as they have large tv’s, good beaver atmosphere and play the game audio over the loudspeakers, I’m fine.

In Beaverton (Scholls & Hall) is a good bar for almost any sporting event. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s packed tonight, although they sometimes have karaoke that interferes with the game.

And let’s not talk about uniform combos too much. A little bit is okay, but…then it starts to get a little bit “eugene-like” not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Quizz probably has lots of nerves right now. He’ll have even more in Beaver Stadium. If our O-Line can block down field, our backs should be really good.

Dude, appreciate you coming to BtD and all...

but, this is a Beaver blog, and we don’t really want to hear you brag about your players. If you want to add a constructive comment about the game, fine, but keep bragging like this to yourself.

Yeah,

I’m not sure if Mike’s still awake, and I’m no speaker for any of the guys at BSD, but on behalf of all the Penn State homers you guys have tolerated tonight, thanks for the hospitality here.

by gumbercules on Aug 28, 2008 9:08 PM PDT up reply actions

Sorry guys.

Penn State grad but Oregon State’s my dad’s alma mater. He’s going to be crushed that Palo Alto is doing this.

I dont agree with that play call......

gotta run it……..burn the clock or a timeout

by norcaliangelsfan on Aug 28, 2008 9:23 PM PDT reply actions

Cal fan here.

Wasn’t really sure who to root for tonight, because obviously Stanfurd sucks, but I think the Beavs are a much more credible Pac-Ten threat. But wow. I was not expecting a result like this. Wow.

Go Bears!

and I say again.......

That pass call was not good…….shoulda ran it, make OSU burn a TO or burn some clock….

here from BSD

and we have a game. they waited until now to make it look easy.

by KevinHD on Aug 28, 2008 9:31 PM PDT reply actions

I don't think we're making it look easy...

We’re down a TD and a 2 pt conversion. Not sure if the D has a 3 and out in them the way Stanford has been running the ball

by Jake Bertalotto on Aug 28, 2008 9:32 PM PDT up reply actions

Wow

Can’t believe we went deep. We’re going to have to stop them no matter what, right?

clock rules are playing an interesting role

stanford can run it down to two minutes on the first play by being lazy here.

by gumbercules on Aug 28, 2008 9:35 PM PDT up reply actions

OSU has 1 or 2 TO left?

http://bills.sportsbloggingnetwork.com/

by norcaliangelsfan on Aug 28, 2008 9:35 PM PDT reply actions

Stanford playing not to lose........

and well……thats exactly how you lose.

by KevinHD on Aug 28, 2008 9:39 PM PDT reply actions

I know, but it would be a shock at least

Since we were down what… 16?

But still down 8, that’s what’s importnat

Ducks vs Cal last year...

This is the same exact thing that happened to the Ducks last year against Cal. Cameron Colvin did the same thing. Sucks. Terrible way to end the game. I hate that rule.

by MarineCorpsDuck on Aug 28, 2008 9:45 PM PDT reply actions

safety and a touchback

them boys need to learn the endzone rules

by Cairo on Aug 28, 2008 9:46 PM PDT reply actions

There's no way to teach that.

I mean, with less than a minute everyone is trying to get in the end zone.

Good god . . .

I can’t believe Catchings didn’t watch the UO-Cal game and learn the value of FIRST AND GOAL ON THE TWO YARD LINE.

Things happen for a reason they say, but I say there's a reason things happen.

by sixth on Aug 28, 2008 9:55 PM PDT reply actions

Give the kid a break...

He was trying to score. You can’t fault the effort. Don’t blame the kid for the loss and trying to make a great play. It happens.

by DucksPhan on Aug 29, 2008 12:44 AM PDT up reply actions

Tough Loss

What Catchings did sucked, but I think we have some stuff to look forward to this year. Stroughter looked great and Moevao looked pretty good, and if Morales keeps this up he could win the Heisman. We just need our D to come through or else all of our weapons on offense will go to waste.
