Who has plans for watching/attending the game tonight?

I'll be watching the game in Eugene...
Does anyone here know of a good bar to watch Beaver games here in this sea of green and neon yellow? My only stipulation is that they have nice TVs and they play the sound of the game, not the jukebox. Let me know if you guys have any places in mind! Thanks, GO BEAVS!

Mother of God
I’m rather excited.
Drinking heavily with friends. Be prepared for some drunken ramblings this evening.
The drinking starts in T-Minus
3 hours. A whole lot of my friends are down in Palo Alto for the game, so the Beavs will be well represented with students. Can’t believe its here. GO BEAVS!

Holy Jumping Up and Down Martha
I cannot believe the 2008 season is about to start, I am about to crap my pants.
GO BEAVERS!!!!!!
I live and die Beaver
Yeah baby!
Good ol’ Darrell (sp?) Aune. :)
Drinking
Anyone got plans to watch the game at any of the fine establishments in corvallis.
So excited!
My prediction is 24-13 Beavers. Sammie, J. Rodgers, and McCants each score a touchdown w/Kahut adding a field goal.

Watch party?
Are there any bars in the wilsonville/beaver/portland area that hosts a good beaver football watch party?
did some searches and found Captain Ron’s Sports pub in sherwood. It’s pretty close to me (i live in wilsonville).. anybody else been there? as long as they have large tv’s, good beaver atmosphere and play the game audio over the loudspeakers, I’m fine.
They have MANY TV's
I live in Sherwood, been there a few times before.

The Sports Page
In Beaverton (Scholls & Hall) is a good bar for almost any sporting event. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s packed tonight, although they sometimes have karaoke that interferes with the game.
Things happen for a reason they say, but I say there's a reason things happen.
i live in san diego county
and don’t have tv.
i’ll be listening to online radio :-/
im used to it.
its not like the old days when i’d get half naked with CV3000 and paint letters on our chest telling a certain usc fan base what we thought of them and their mascot compared to us and ours.

i wonder what color combo they will use.
My bet is orange top, black bottoms

101 degrees in Palo Alto...
…let’s go white on white, instead.
And let’s not talk about uniform combos too much. A little bit is okay, but…then it starts to get a little bit “eugene-like” not that there’s anything wrong with that.
yeah i agree about the uni thing
but i thought the home team usually wore white, or their lighter color? or maybe that is just in basketball

Dude, appreciate you coming to BtD and all...
but, this is a Beaver blog, and we don’t really want to hear you brag about your players. If you want to add a constructive comment about the game, fine, but keep bragging like this to yourself.

Is it fair to point fingers at the O-Line?
--JB--
by Jake Bertalotto on Aug 28, 2008 9:04 PM PDT up reply actions
Could point at the whole team
Cannot tackle, cover WRs, break tackles, and make the big play when needed.
Thanks for having me
I will come over next week, good luck.
I don't know, Mello Yello is pretty awful. What's the worst that could happen?
thanks
I’m not throwing in the towel yet, though

Yeah,
I’m not sure if Mike’s still awake, and I’m no speaker for any of the guys at BSD, but on behalf of all the Penn State homers you guys have tolerated tonight, thanks for the hospitality here.
if im not mistaken this OSU team is fairly young no?

Weak O-Line (Missing two of our best), New front seven
But still…. No excuses for this game so far, I don’t think.

Cal fan here.
Wasn’t really sure who to root for tonight, because obviously Stanfurd sucks, but I think the Beavs are a much more credible Pac-Ten threat. But wow. I was not expecting a result like this. Wow.
Go Bears!

and I say again.......
That pass call was not good…….shoulda ran it, make OSU burn a TO or burn some clock….

here from BSD
and we have a game. they waited until now to make it look easy.
Kevin @ Black Shoe Diaries
I don't think we're making it look easy...
We’re down a TD and a 2 pt conversion. Not sure if the D has a 3 and out in them the way Stanford has been running the ball

by Jake Bertalotto on Aug 28, 2008 9:32 PM PDT up reply actions
Wow
Can’t believe we went deep. We’re going to have to stop them no matter what, right?

by Jake Bertalotto on Aug 28, 2008 9:33 PM PDT reply actions
clock rules are playing an interesting role
stanford can run it down to two minutes on the first play by being lazy here.
OSU has 1 or 2 TO left?

don’t get us wrong, must of us are on your side (this week).

I know, but it would be a shock at least
Since we were down what… 16?
But still down 8, that’s what’s importnat

Ducks vs Cal last year...
This is the same exact thing that happened to the Ducks last year against Cal. Cameron Colvin did the same thing. Sucks. Terrible way to end the game. I hate that rule.
by MarineCorpsDuck on Aug 28, 2008 9:45 PM PDT reply actions
There's no way to teach that.
I mean, with less than a minute everyone is trying to get in the end zone.

Duck fans and Beaver fans have some common ground...
After our game last year, I’m sorry guys. Good luck. What a shitty way to lose.
Good god . . .
I can’t believe Catchings didn’t watch the UO-Cal game and learn the value of FIRST AND GOAL ON THE TWO YARD LINE.
Things happen for a reason they say, but I say there's a reason things happen.
I'm sure he did. And I'm sure he learned from it.
$hit happens.

Give the kid a break...
He was trying to score. You can’t fault the effort. Don’t blame the kid for the loss and trying to make a great play. It happens.
Tough Loss
What Catchings did sucked, but I think we have some stuff to look forward to this year. Stroughter looked great and Moevao looked pretty good, and if Morales keeps this up he could win the Heisman. We just need our D to come through or else all of our weapons on offense will go to waste.
