New Jerseys!

Here's the press release

My thoughts:

I think everyone is glad that we got rid of the bra straps. Its good to see the pressure applied by alumni and media to change those ridiculous uniforms.

The jerseys are pretty simple and clean looking, more of a classic look.

I will withhold my final judgment until i see the players wearing them and what they look like in live action.

Wow, you barely beat me to that one.

Didn’t see your post in the FanShot section when I posted to the front page. Thanks for sending this in though.

I’m with you—I’m going to withhold my judgement until I see a player wearing them. I didn’t like last year’s jersey upon first sight, but after the first few plays of the Utah game, I liked them. So I’m sure these will grow on me.

My first impression was that we’re going to use our practice jerseys as game jerseys this year. But, ya know, I like the clean, classic look.

Black at PSU

I really want to see the black jerseys out for PSU, more so than the orange. It would look freaking sweet…

Nice look though—I dig the minimalist design. It’s almost like there are two polar opposite offices in the Nike PAC 10 design department that handle the Oregon schools. The hyperactive, overly-imaginative kids designing Oregon unis and the lethargic and sometimes clueless (sports bra? really? did we NEED to do that?) crew designing ours.

All in all, I think these are keepers. Easily the most excited I’ve been for a new uni since we dropped our shoulder stripes.

Any links to pics with a look at the full kit, pants and all?

Haven't seen a picture of someone dressed

Which should give us an entirely different perspective than a picture of a jersey where it looks like it’s hanging on a rack.

Doesn’t Penn State wear blue at home? Even though their fans wear white?

Cal's new fall line looks about the same as these

Yours may be from the same department as Cal. The pants are especially cool, the helmet also has a single wide stripe down the front, with a bear paw and number in the back. They look cool too.

Are the torso pieces the only change for you guys?

Visiting Duck fan

I like these a lot more. Maybe simple for my Eugene-taste (tee hee), but, all in all, an upgrade. They got nicer lettering, and the white one seems to be my favorite. You guys will be looking good this year, at least, in terms of fashionable unis ;P

I still wish

We had the uni’s from two years ago. Great look for the Beavers. Not flashy, just simple and they looked good. But all in all these are better than last years.
