The Oregon State Men's Golf season came to a close yesterday in Bremerton, Washington at the NCAA West Regional. The Beavers finished +34 over par, 36 strokes behind the regional winners, USC. USC won the regional with a total score of 862. The Ducks finished in second place with a score of 864, even par. For a look at the overall team leaderboard, click here .

Here's how Oregon State's five golfers faired:

“We got off to a good start. Our number one and two guys James [Allenby] and Diego [Velasquez], they just had a tough tournament,” said men’s golf head coach Brian Watts. “We were hanging around 11^th or 12^thfor a while, a couple shots out of 10^th and then we hit some poor shots coming in and that was the difference.”

The Beavers finished ten strokes out of tenth place, which would have qualified them for nationals.
