Another tough loss, another tough series loss
Not sure I’m quite as down on post-season hopes as Mike Parker seems to be, but do agree that the team really needs to win tomorrow to make a good case. Hmm, I guess thinking about it a bit more, yes, we will need a strong finish overall (take 3 out of the remaining 5 games at the least?).
Overall I’m just more perplexed about how this team can beat Georgia, Arizona St, Arizona, and UCLA but then look so stagnate against teams such as Gonzaga, WSU, Utah Valley, and USC. Everything looked excellent after the Arizona series, maybe even sneak in on a Pac-10 title, then there was the Washington trip, then it all again looked solid for a post season run after UCLA and now…

On the opposite end of the spectrum...
How did we struggle in Pac-10 play last year then play lights out in Omaha? That’s baseball for ya.

I hope...
That you’re telling me not to worry! All will be okay!
I actually think this could be good and kick them into gear like last year, but we’ll see.
You have some good points, I was pretty lost about what to think about last year’s team during that mid to late Pac-10 funk they were in. And yes then no one could touch them in Omaha.
Let’s see how today pans out. Go Beavs!

Agreed
It has been a strange season. Just when you think the team is putting it together. Blah. Pitching has been hit or miss. Fielding has been hit or miss. Batting has been hit or miss. Oh well
Go Beavs.
I can't believe I'm saying this
but the Beavers could suddenly find themselves on the bubble. If they lose tomorrow then IMO, they’re back on the bubble and a loss or two to lowly Pacific next weekend could have them on the outside looking in. It’s unfortunate, but losses to Gonzaga, Utah Valley State and Portland in the season’s final month will do that to you. Their RPI is already down to 35 and that was before this weekend. Hopefully the Beavers can get it going, but it;s getting to be nervous time.
