Top 8: USC 5, Oregon State 0

I’m home… and the Beavers are losing. Stutes has gone the distance this far, throwing 145+ pitches. I would have to imagine that he’s thrown his last pitch of the night. James Nygren has been warming up back of Stutes.

Ogata also flies out to right.

Inning over… we head to the bottom of the eighth.

Bottom 8: Nygren comes in to pitch

Stutes is done after seven full innings. He gave up five runs on eight hits.

Hmm...

Frustrating game so far. You watching online or listening to radio?

Radio.

I would have bought the online feed from SC, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to watch very much tonight and maybe not tomorrow either. How about you?

Game Watcher Online

So have a delay. Adds to the frustration! Thought it was going to be a night with Hopkins’ triple, but since then more of the runners left on base story and then really nothing going in the last innings.

Yep...

I heard the first inning on the radio, then had to go take care of some things. It was 5-0 when I came back.

That's Nine?

SOs by Milone? Gosh Darn.

-RVM

by rvm on May 16, 2008 9:40 PM PDT   0 recs

That's correct.

Nine K’s, One Walk.

Seems though

That we also hit him also, but can’t tell how well with the flies to the outfield. Didn’t get things to drop or what?

Solomon singles to right field....

We’re stayin’ alive… Joey Wong now comes to the plate.

--JB--

by Jake on May 16, 2008 9:44 PM PDT   0 recs

Wong singles up the middle.

Why couldn’t we do this earler? Two on, two outs, a base hit puts the tying run at the plate. Braden Wells now at the plate.

Millone's coming out of the game.

Man, if we only had one out in this situation. Two outs is way more stressful…

Because

This team never likes to make it happen easy?

We did this in the first game against Utah Valley too...

It’s like all of the sudden we find our offense when we’re too far in a hole. But anything can happen….

Lennerton

He’s PH?

-RVM

by rvm on May 16, 2008 9:50 PM PDT   0 recs

Ortiz started at first base, Ammon behind the plate, and Lennerton on the bench.

Coach Casey usually does this against left handed starters.

Brad Boxburger will come out of the pen....

He was scheduled to start tomorrow’s game…

Hope it turns out like UCLA game three.

Chris

Hoping he does what he’s good at and work the pitcher.

SO?

Guess that’s that. Need this series.

-RVM

You are/were totally correct

That was too late in the game. And don’t know why not sooner.

-RVM

by rvm on May 16, 2008 10:00 PM PDT   0 recs

Yep

Don’t know if I’ll be online tomorrow. Either way, Go Beavers!
