OSU vs. Utah Valley Game 2 Thoughts
Getting a win over these guys to even the series makes the sting of yesterday's loss go away a little bit, but we can't afford to hand out freebies to teams like this down the stretch.
That said, it was good for the Beavers to bounce back from the embarrassing loss and get a tough win over the Wolverines. James Nygren started the game but was pulled out in the fourth after giving up four runs on eight hits. Blake Keitzman came on in relief and pitched a sensational six innings, only allowing four hits and striking out nine. Hopefully Keitzman can heat up for the last few games and the post-season and work his way up the pitching charts. The Beavers really need a go-to middle reliever (a la Joa Pa in Omaha) that can get them out of tough situations.
The linescore:
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | R | H | E | |
| Utah Valley | 2 | 0 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 4 | 11 | 3 |
| Oregon State | 0 | 1 | 0 | 5 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 0 | 8 | 9 | 0 |
Oregon State now heads down to Southern Cal where they'll play the Trojans in a three game series. The first game is Friday at 7:00 p.m.
GO BEAVERS!

Good bounce back and onwards
Another tough weekend coming up, even if it is USC and should be able to get some runs against them still a Pac-10 road series. Then Long Beach State who is far from a push over team and I’m sure they will be geared up to play the defending two-time National Champions.
Hoping for some good vibes to wrap up this up and down season!
