Been looking forward to this game. I have to admit I have some apprehension though.

Stay Classy Pittsburgh
Glad to see wannstash following the classy lead of UCLA in calling a timeout as well… whats that you say, Pitt didn’t call a time out… I can’t believe a coach who quit from his last pro job half way through the season would be that classless.

This is interesting about McCoy...
Sounds like everyone had second thoughts about him b/c of grades and injuries, I would suspect, based on that quote yesterday, penn state did as well.
And they just called his personality “large”. Nice.

Thanks for keeping the Pac-10 winning streak going. Now please, don’t ever play another game without the Rodgers brothers. That was a painfully boring game.

The part that has me seriously angry about this game
is that the last punt by Hekker only consumed one second of gametime. It went from 1:04 to 1:03. The five or six seconds nearly made a huge difference at the end.

They are also
One of the most Undisciplined teams in the nation. Speed can only do so much. If it comes down to being disciplined and special teams…. PSU has that.

They won the game along with Hekker.
Yep Pitt’s offense calling on those throws was bizarre to say the lest. But Beavs step up.

Thanks Beavers!!!
I don’t have time to read through this thread, but thanks for beating Pitt for us to shut up their “Pitt>Iowa>PSU” logic now. Of course I don’t expect a lot of Pitt fans to be logical, so they’ll still probably try to spout it.
I also love how you guys did it without the Rodgers brothers.

I know some are not the biggest Miller fans, but I think his post sums up the game well for me: http://myespn.go.com/blogs/pac10/0-5-124/Sun-Bowl—Oregon-State-3—Pittsburgh-0.html
Wasn’t the most “exciting” game to watch, but I guess at least that allows for that other set of football fans from down the valley to have something, whatever gets you going I guess, to be smug about (excellent win last night by the way). But the game still had some impressive components such as the defense and punting for OSU. It was frustrating to watch but I’m guessing that there are some OSU players and coaches who are proud of smashing it out and winning a close game. Reminds me that sometimes it isn’t all about us the fans so even though I was tempted to change the channel I also am proud the players gave it a full 60 and took pride at the end in the win.
