BREAKING NEWS! Myles Wade Believes in Change
Here is some awesome news on Myles Wade, who like every intelligent football fan has some "irreconcilable differences" with the university of oregon football program.
It appears to be written by the Wade Family--so it's as good as gold.
What stands out to me about Myles is the quality of his character and his work ethic. It really sounds like the ducks gave him the run around, and it will be nice to see him in Reser terrorizing quarterbacks for the next 3 years with his high school teammate, Kevin Frahm.
Smart decision, Myles!

“Once I am settled on a University I want to contribute to the team in a big way; hopefully we can win bowl games and championships’ Wade offered thoughtfully. ”
Uh oh… looks like a dealbreaker for you, CV :(
Your friendly neighborhood placekicker.
Seeing as the Beavers have the inside track to win the Pac-10...
While UO is destined for another subpar season, I can see why a player interested in championships would rather play at Oregon State.
Giving [Batum] the freedom to go for steals is going to be like giving a redneck six boxes of ammo and a quarter mile of empty Bud cans. - Dave
uh....why would he want to finish 5th in the Pac-10 every....... single........... year.......?
Oregon State wins bowl games, oregon loses them at an historic pace—worst ever in the conference.
Allow me to repeat: your football team is the WORST EVER when it matters.
Roses are Orange.
No run around
Coming out of the Oregon program, there were a lot of concerns about whether or not he was going to academically qualify to play, despite the press release from his family about his grades. It is basically a “he-said, she-said” type of affair with regards to Oregon and Wade. If he wasn’t going to qualify (or cause a serious hit to the graduation rates and ultimately cost scholarships), then Oregon is making the right call. If he is going to qualify, then obviously Oregon loses out. See the Justin Thompson case at Oregon as an example of someone saying they qualified when the really didn’t.
Just to clarify your breaking news, Just because Myles Wade de-committed from Oregon doesn’t mean he has committed to Oregon State. From Scout.com….
Wade says he is hearing from and would like to hear from UCLA, Oregon State, USC, CAL, Arizona, Boise State, LSU, SMU, Hawaii, Colorado, PSU and others. He indicated that his first Choice would be to play in the PAC 10 with Oregon State being an inside favorite right now.
Here is a comment from Rob Mosley with the R-G about it
Everything I’m hearing is obviously from an Oregon point of view, since that’s who I’m around, and the Wade statement contradicts some of that. Like anything, two sides to every story. In a few months, he’ll either get qualified somewhere else, and the Ducks will have egg on their face (if he’s any kind of an impact player) or he won’t get qualified and Oregon will look smart for not wasting space in this class on him.
I’m sure there will be a lot of hand-wringing once he commits elsewhere and leading up to the start of school next year, but it’s probably not worth sweating until he actually shows up at practice somewhere.

Sorry for your loss.
We already know that Myles is good.
If he qualifies, he qualifies. If he doesn’t, then somebody like Mike Remmers or Justin Kahut gets his scholarship. Either way, OSU wins and the ducks are just………5th place…..like always.

Despite Your Trolling....
I would be surprised if he doesn’t qualify. His high school, one I went to in Portland, is a pretty tough, college-prep style high school. I’m actually surprised he didn’t academically qualify out of high school.
I know you are just trying to get under Oregon fan’s skin, but at least try to be a responsible blogger when reporting actual news and don’t imply falsehoods (ala he has committed to Oregon State)

Agreed. I've never met a bad student from Central Catholic...all the kids who have worked for me from there are good kids
…but, he also went to Benson for a couple years so…
Anyways. Qualifying won’t really be that hard for him to do. All he has to do is get his AA certificate from the junior college sometime before next football season and he’s qualified.

TROLLING?
I don’t think that you can be a troll if you’re the one writing the blog post.
and…he never said that myles is a commit.
Implied Falsehood

It's not a falsehood
It’s an untruthitude.

You are ruining my strategery! My brick-and-mortar enterprise is being put into the parking lot by your strawdog proposal. This is not a win-win!
In truth, CV just hurts my feelings because he is a big meanie!

Myles was quoted--in a release that was written by HIS FAMILY....that "OSU has the inside track."
So…yeah.
And, YES, I am a big meanie.

HA ha. Forgot about that one.
That was fun.
How are you guys liking the November Rain post? Is it still up?
