Around SBN: The Worst Team Ever Projected?

UPDATE ... doctor's report and latest information has OSU coach Mike Riley believing that star tailback Jacquizz Rodgers might be a scratch for Saturday's game. Quizz suffered a grade 2 shoulder strain (left side) early in the Arizona game. We will try to track him down today for an update from his perspective. RIley told us, "right now it's very doubtful'' that the Pac-10's leading rusher plays. .. it did not seem like a good sign when Riley - asked directly about the MRI results on Quizz's shoulder - said immediately, "I can't tallk about that.'' ... meanwhile, Riley has not chosen a starter at QB, but No. 1 Lyle Moevao is expected to be back at practice this afternoon.

Without Quizz it'll be a real test (puntarded!)

This is a good team. No doubt it takes a HUUUUUUUUGE hit without Quizz in the picture and with only a week to prepare without him but I feel confident that McCants and Francis can fill in. This adjustment will no doubt change what we can do on offense but still, both backs are capable runners and will keep that duck D honest so our passing game can be effective.

I still have a sinking feeling that we’ll see number 1 suited up on Saturday. I just feel he’s that kind of player. If not, I trust the professionals making the decision and admire Riley for not taking himself out of the situation.

GO BEAVS. CLOSE THIS OUT AND FINISH!

I can still remember

Yvenson dressing down for last year’s Civil War at Autzen. He was obviously not in playing shape, but he strapped on the pads anyway, but hardly went through warm-ups. I think I would prefer they just say yes or no in advance and not lead us all on by saying “questionable” and such, but I understand that it means something to dress down with the team, participate in warm ups, etc.

Ev really did expect to play though

The deal was that he had been walking with crutches and laying around for 2-3 weeks, so his quad muscle just wasn’t working right during warmups that day and his leg wasn’t feeling strong.

It was a true game time decision.

This is OK

It’s good to know this early. OSU will adjust appropriately and (although it won’t be the same w/out Quizz), the players will have to step up as they did in Tucson. One thing that I am glad to know is that OSU does have the tools to get the win.

Depth for the win.

I’ll admit, I’m slightly less confident but I’m still believing our boys pull this off.

Hey let's not forget we were without Yvenson last year.....

I would guess that McCants is a better runner the Sieverson

And the Ducks D is relatively the same
