Send a Message to the Team!

BIG GAME this weekend.  No, not Stanford vs. Cal, that's THE Big Game (aka the chance to send Uowned down to the Las Vegas Bowl to get creamed by BYU.  Again.)

I'm talking about OSU vs. Arizona.  It's big, it's huge, it's important.  You should definitely watch it.

Check out this awesome slide show preview.

I received a message from one of BTD's biggest fans letting us know that he was going to be down in Tucson when the team gets off the bus on Game Day.  He is friends with several players on the team and was hoping to get some ideas for a sign that he will hold up to give the team an inspirational message before they seal the deal against 'zona.

What should it say?

He was thinking of something like...
I’d go across a desert to watch you guys!

Something like that.

Just keep driving down I-5...go past Pasadena....

…and don’t stop until you get to San Diego.

I like this for Cal...

Swim across the Bay. Maybe you’ll make it across to the Emerald Bowl. Maybe you won’t. That’s how you play.

My idea for a sign...

black letters on a bright orange sign…“Beaver Nation BELIEVES!”

We are winning this game…I don’t care what the “experts” have to say….we play better as underdogs anyway.

Simple Answer

PROUD TO BE A BEAVER

the slightly distorted angle would be

“Proud of my Beaver”

FINISH

in big, bold, black letters.

I'm on my way over to Tucson too

A simple sign: “ONE.GAME.AT.A.TIME”

Where have I heard that before?! :)

GO BEAVS!

"Jacquizz Down Their Throat"

Haven't you people ever heard of closing the goddamn Shufelt?

That is one of the all-time classics.

Next week:

Dickson their young tight end
Jacquizz all over their defensive backs

Question, is Lyle starting?

Haven't you people ever heard of closing the goddamn Shufelt?

I have the same question

I heard he’s still having issues with the shoulder, but haven’t anything beyond that.

According to Cliff from GT..

“QB Lyle Moevao (shoulder) didn’t practice for the second day in a row. Coach Mike Riley said there’s still hope he’ll play, but it will be a game-time decision.”

I’m not sure if he’s practiced at all this week.

Keyword: play.

Looks like starting may be out of reach if he’s not even cleared to play.

As much as I like Moevao

I’m fine with Canfield starting. Even if we end up not getting the win, I’d rather have a healthy Canfield playing than an 60% Moevao.

He's crazy...he'll do it

For the sign: I’m going with “Win this game or I’ll shoot this dog.”

Requires a borrowed dog and firearm of some sort.

Seriously, I’m so sick of looking at that three point take spread I’m ready to inflict violences on the Joe A. family pets. UA will NOT hang with the Beavs for four full quarters. A couple of them maybe, but not all four. Though of course I’m enjoying the underdog status as this bodes well.

And to top it off, son #2 was considering inviting over a buddy who I know for a fact comes from a family of closet Duck fans. We had a family meeting.

More on point…I’m not sucking up all the naugahyde off the chairs about the possibility of Canfield playing (or starting.) The timing might be right for the lad.
