BOBBY D IS STAYING

I just read great news on espn.com that IU has decided to name someone else AD instead of Bobby D. This is great news for all of Beaver nation as we can continue to have this man lead our athletic programs to the forefront of athletics in the Pac-10 and the country. Now we just need to keep Washington's grubby little hands off Mike Riley and company. (dont know why in the world anyone would want that job to begin with but you know they would offer him more than his current contract).

GO BEAVS!!!

This is great news.

We also need to remember that we don’t even know for sure if he was seriously interested in the Indiana job.

DeCarolis encouraged Pat Casey to talk to Notre Dame to see what they were offering, and he encouraged Mike Riley to talk to UCLA when they wanted to talk to him as well. In both cases, it helped justify paying them more and it solidified their sense of satisfaction with the job they have at OSU.

There’s obviously just as many opportunities to be successful at OSU as anywhere in the country and there is nothing magical about any other athletic jobs out there that isn’t just as magical in Corvallis. Plus, Corvallis is a really nice place to live. (Waaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaay nicer than Seattle, especially.)

Like Mike Riley learned from his wife, Dee: you can’t be happier than happy.
