Pac-10 Week in Review

The Weekly win/loss records are posted for each team. I'll get the Pac-10 standings up in the coming days, and we'll take a look at overall and conference records.

and here is the Pac-10 Week in Review:

Pac-10 Rankings this Week:

USA Today/ ESPN Coaches' Poll: Arizona State, 9th; Oregon State, 10th; Arizona, 14th
Baseball America Top 25: Arizona State, 10th; Arizona 14th; Oregon State, 15th; UCLA, 21st
Collegiate Baseball Top 25:  UCLA, 10th; Arizona State, 11th; Oregon State, 12th; Arizona, 15th

Arizona Wildcats

3-0

Friday: Arizona 16, Liberty 2

Saturday: Arizona 16, Liberty 3

Sunday: Arizona 7, Liberty 6 (10)

Arizona swept Liberty in a non-conference series, ending their chain of two lost series'. They've got USC this weekend though, followed by Washington and Arizona State.

Arizona State Sun Devils

0-0

Friday:

Saturday:

Sunday:

Arizona State was not in action this week... finals!

Cal Golden Bears

1-2

Friday: UCLA 13, Cal 6

Saturday: UCLA 7, Cal 2

Sunday: Cal 16, UCLA 0

The Bears got beat handily by UCLA the first two games, but then I don't know where the 16-0 victory on Sunday came from. The loss to UCLA helps everyone out a bit, but UCLA continues their dominance of the Pac-10. Cal finishes up with USC and Washington, after taking this week off.

Oregon State Beavers

1-2

Friday: Washington 6, Oregon State 2

Saturday: Washington 9, Oregon State 6

Sunday: Oregon State 8, Washington 2

The Beavers dropped the first two games to Washington, really putting a damper on the weekend, but they got out with a win on Sunday. It will be next to impossible to win the Pac-10 from here, but there's still a sliver of hope. It's Washington State this week.

Stanford Cardinal

1-2

Friday: Stanford 6, Washington State 4

Sunday: Washington State 8, Stanford 6

Sunday: Washington State 4, Stanford 2

Stanford got the early win on Friday, but that's all the could do in the series between two of the Pac-10's bottom dwellers. Stanford has Washington and USC left in conference play.

UCLA Bruins

2-1

Friday: UCLA 13, Cal 6

Saturday: UCLA 7, Cal 2

Sunday: Cal 16, UCLA 0

UCLA continues to roll, but I'm a little curious about the 16-0 loss after two wins. Anyway, the Beavers will have the Bruins in a few weeks down at Jackie Robinson Stadium in a must win series for OSU.

USC Trojans

0-0

Friday:

Saturday:

Sunday:

USC was off as well. They return to conference play this week at Arizona.

Washington Huskies

2-1

Friday: Washington 6, Oregon State 2

Saturday: Washington 9, Oregon State 6

Sunday: Oregon State 8, Washington 2

The Dawgs came out and took two from the Beavers on Friday and Saturday, but then let the Beavers have the best of them on Sunday. Washington still has a lot of work in front of them, in Stanford, Arizona, and Cal.

Washington State Cougars

2-1

Friday: Stanford 6, Washington State 4

Sunday: Washington State 8, Stanford 6

Sunday: Washington State 4, Stanford 2

Washington State was able to come back and win the second two against Stanford, pulling out of last place. They've got the Beavers and UCLA remaining.

Go Beavers!
