2007 Recruiting Class, Part 3 :: Defensive Backs

We continue our look at who has committed to be a Beaver next year. Stars selected by Rivals.

For up to the minute info regarding Oregon State recruiting, go to BeaverBlitz.com.

Name Stars 40 time Attributes Hype/Notes
DB DB DB DB DB
Cameron Collins 4.65 6-2, 194 Regarded as one of the best high school athletes in SoCal, Collins finally chose the Beavers. He played both sides of the ball in High School, but will probably fit in best at DB for the Bears. He is ranked as the #32 HS DB by Rivals.
Brandon Hardin 4.62 6-2, 175 Only one of many Hawaiian players the Beavers recruited for '07. Brandon performed well in OSU's camp, which led to a offer from the Beavers, as well as Stanford, Hawaii, and Boise State.
Josh LaGrone 4.56 6-1, 170 Josh went All-State in Nevada his senior year, and had previously committed to Nevada before he changed his mind to come to Oregon State.
Lance Mitchell 4.6 6-2, 186 Talented prospect at safety, who plays physical and aggressive. He is apparently equally as good defending the pass and the run.
Anthony Watkins 4.65 6-1, 183 This speedy cornerback/safety chose the Beavers over Kentucky, which is closer to his family. He says: "They're a bowl-caliber team every year and they're in the Pac-10," Also, his brother will walk-on.
