I really don't know who to cheer for
I hate Boise State because of their cocky fans, but I also want BSU to be ranked and undefeated when they come to Salt Lake City in a few weeks.

I guess I'll cheer for Oregon State, only because I want to see their fans shut the hell up about how "great" their record has been over the years. With this said, I would not cry if Boise State won, either.

Not looking good Jake
BSU up 28-14. The boys need to knuckle down and get some more points on the board.
Fight On!

Go Big Red Nebraska!

Yikes, that was ugly.
Ok, is BSU that good or Oregon State that bad? You guys started out so well and then fell flat on your faces. Eh, let's hope BSU is ranked and undefeated when the Utes smack 'em down in a few weeks.

Ok, so what was the real problem?
Yes, that was ugly....on several different levels.

First, for a couple of years, I've questioned some of the play calling...tonight is a great example...3rd and 2 on BOI 12, jumbo set in, the best running back in the Pac 10 in the backfield, and we get a play action and Moore gets sacked for a loss....I'd be yelling at a POP Warner coach for that one...

Second, while Moore looked ok last week, he repeatedly missed reads, (didn't notice the corner blitz that lead to a crucial sack) and more importantly, appears to have no confidence in the pocket.  Basically he chokes.  He did it last year, (especially against Cal) and I just don't think he has the mental toughness to be the leader the Beavers need.  When the QB is scared, the whole team follows the trend.

Surely you must be kidding
You're trying to say that Colt Brennan is better than Booty, Carpenter, Edwards and Olson?  Next thing you know, we'll be hearing that Timmy Chang was a better quarterback than Matt Leinart.

That is why you play the game
  1. Bernard is a very good back...whether he is the 'best' at anything will come to light as the season progresses.  If the beavs are going to win more than 4 games, they will have to depend on Bernard more.
  2. Moore is a nice Pac-10 quarterback if your goal is to be at the bottom half of the conference.  You generally don't win the Pac-10 unless you have a top-tier junior or senior quarterback.
  3. The game happen on Thursday.  It is now Saturday, and no 'Embarassing Loss Reaction' post yet?  If you are going to keep this up, you better get used to crafting the 'Embarassing Loss Reaction' post... call for Riley's dismissal already.
