New Orleans Traning Camp Begins, Hass gets a Mention

The Saints opened their 2006 Training Camp at Jackson, Mississippi's Millsaps College on Friday afternoon. Most eyes were on starting quarterback Drew Brees with his return to full action after recovering from shoulder surgery.

Another eye-turning story was the fact that Reggie Bush was not at camp. Read up for yourself at that link.

Our very own Mike Hass got a mention in the recap:

WR Mike Hass, who missed the June minicamp due to NFL workout rules dealing with college graduation dates, seemed to pick up where he left off at the rookie minicamp as he made a twisting catch of a Brees pass and later, and hauled in a catch from QB Adrian McPherson after he fell to the ground and got up before the ball got to him.

Sounds like he's adapting well.

More out of Saints camp tomorrow.
