Arizona Egdes Oregon State in Extra Innings

After a delay of over a hour, the Arizona Wildcats finally edged passed the Beavers 3-2 in the first game of the 2006 Women's College World Series.

Adrienne Alo lead the Beavers with 3 hits and a run. The Wildcats jumped out into the lead in the 3rd, when they scored two runs. The first scored by Adrienne Action of a ground ball hit by Autumn Champion.  Caitlin Lowe scored the seconod run in the 3rd for the Wildcats off a single by Kristie Fox.

The Beavers put up back to back runs in the 5th and 6th, but it wasn't good enough to get past Arizona.

Caitlin Lowe scored the winning run for Arizona in the 9th.

Saturday, Oregon State will play the loser of Arizona State- Texas. (Now on ESPN2) The Beavers already have one loss, so from here on out, one more loss and their tournament is over.

More info when the game between Arizona State and Texas ends.
