With a 1-0 win over 6th ranked Cal, Oregon State secures a spot in the Women's College World Series, for the first time in school history. After losing on Friday, Oregon State had to win two in a row in order to move on. They took the first game from Cal 3-0, and after a short break, came back and defeated the Bears again, 1-0. Oregon State scored their only run right off the bat in the first inning, when Cambrina Miranda scored on a Sacrafice Fly off the bat of Vanessa Iapala.
The Women's College World Series will start Thursday, and run until June 7 in Oklahoma City.
More on all this later.
